Fayetteville Academy's Aminah Ghaffar signs to run track for ECU
A staff report
Fayetteville Academy's Aminah Ghaffar signed a letter of intent to run track at East Carolina on Wednesday.
The Eagles senior chose ECU over N.C. State, Charlotte, UNC-Wilmington, Nevada and High Point.
Ghaffar, a multiple state champion in track for the Academy, was a winner in the 100 and 300 hurdles and the long jump in last year's private schools state meet.
At ECU, Ghaffar will compete in the 100 and 400 hurdles, as well as heptathlon.
