Two from E.E. Smith sign to play football at Saint Augustine's
Two E.E. Smith football players have signed to play for Saint Augustine's next fall.
Mid-South 4-A Conference Defensive Player of the Year Jordan Stocks and all-league second-team pick LaMarque Hill will join the NCAA Division II program coached by Michael Costa.
Stocks, a 5-foot-9, 214-pound linebacker, ranked second among Cumberland County tacklers with 159 as a senior in helping the Golden Bulls to an 11-2 overall record and the Mid-South title. He was also selected for the All-Cape Fear region team.
The 6-3, 295-pound Hill helped power an E.E. Smith offense that racked up 4,893 total yards last season and averaged 218 yards rushing.
