New York Giants lineman Sean Locklear's knee injury said serious
Sean Locklear's NFL season may be over because of a knee injury suffered in Monday night's New York Giants-Washington game.
USA Today reported that Locklear, a Lumberton native and N.C. State product, will miss the rest of the season after being hurt in the fourth quarter of the 17-16 loss.
The Giants' starting right tackle was injured when running back Ahmad Bradshaw fell onto the lower half of Locklear's right leg. Locklear had to be carted off the field.
According to USA Today, preliminary tests indicated a torn anterior cruciate ligament at minimum. The team, however, only referred to Locklear's injury as a "severe knee sprain."
