Fayetteville Christian football: 5 players to watch
A look at potential impact players for Fayetteville Christian.
Height/weight: 5-10, 220
About Starks: He played a vital role last year for Fayetteville Christian. Offensively, he was the lead blocker, allowing Bernard Smalls to accumulate yardage. Defensively, he led the Warriors in tackles. Expect more of both this season.
Height/weight: 6-0, 170
About Dower: Coach Bruce McClelland praised Dower's work ethic, calling him the "hardest working player I've ever coached." That ethic has rubbed off on the rest of the team.
Height/weight: 6-3, 220
About Goetsch: Coach McClelland calls Goetsch has best lineman, especially on offense. Most of Fayetteville Christian's rushing yards came from this stalwart's side.
Height/weight: 6-0, 175
About Williams: He is the Warriors' deep threat on offense. An all-state selection last year, Williams has great hands and is also an excellent blocker. He will be looked upon to play solid defense as a cover corner.
Height/weight: 6-1, 165
About Fuller: A transfer student from Terry Sanford, he is simply a great athlete according to McClelland. The Warriors plan to use Fuller as a wide receiver and defensive back but he may see time at quarterback and spell Bernard Smalls at running back.
