PAIGE BAREFOOT
School: Pine Forest
Sport: Softball
Year: Sophomore
Notable: Accomplishment: Barefoot pitched 10 scoreless innings against South View last week in the semifinal game of the Mid-South 4-A Conference softball tournament.
JAHMAAL DANIEL
School: Terry Sanford
Sport: Track
Year: Sophomore
Notable: In the Mid-South 4-A Conference track meet, Daniel won the 100, 200 and 400 meters. He also ran the anchor leg on the second-place 4x200-meter relay team. He was voted the conference male track athlete of the year.
QIZEAH JACKSON
School: Westover
Sport: Track
Year: Sophomore
Notable: Jackson won the 100- and 200-meter dashes, the high jump and was on the winning 4x100-meter relay team in the Cape Fear Valley 3-A Conference track meet. She was chosen female track athlete of the year in the conference.
AMBER HARRIS
School: Freedom Christian
Sport: Softball
Year: Sophomore
Notable: Harris won her ninth game of the year last week. She was also 3-for-3 with a triple and four RBIs as Freedom defeated Faith 20-7.
JORDAN REDD
School: South View
Sport: Baseball
Year: Senior
Notable: Redd threw nine innings and allowed three hits while recording 11 strikeouts and getting in a complete game in contests with Jack Britt and Terry Sanford last week.
STEPHEN NALLS
School: Gray's Creek
Sport: Baseball
Year: Senior
Notable: In leading Gray's Creek to the Cape Fear 3-A baseball tournament title, Nalls was 7-for-10 with two doubles, five RBIs and three stolen bases. He leads the county with 37 hits.
