Terry Sanford claims boys' tennis league title

 

Terry Sanford again dominated the Mid-South 4-A Conference boys' tennis tournament Wednesday by winning and finishing runner-up in both the singles and doubles finals.

Sophomore Kiran Patel claimed the league singles crown by defeating junior teammate Hunter Bell, 6-0, 6-0, in the championship match. Patel advanced to the finals earlier in the day at Arnette Park by beating South View's Cody Morgan, 6-0, 6-0.

The Bulldog tandem of Auyush Kaushish and Trey Bright knocked off teammates Drew Robinson and Tyler Ingram, 6-4, 7-6 (11-9) in the doubles final. Kaushish and Bright, the tournament's No. 1 seed, defeated No. 4 Chance Mathias and Patrick Ashley of Jack Britt, 6-0, 6-0, to reach the fnals.
