Pinecrest wins 4-A Eastern Regional wrestling tournament

SOUTHERN PINES - Pinecrest rolled up 176 points to top Jack Britt for the team title in the 4-A Eastern Regional wrestling tournament Saturday at Pincecrest.
Britt finished with 155.5 points.
Pinecrest had four individual champions. They were Irvin Enriquez at 106 pounds, Garrett Bateman at 138, Dustin Roemer at 152 and Luke Fetla at 220.
Britt's only champion was Aaron Dickson at 145 pounds.
Two other Cumberland County wrestlers won individual titles.
Xavier Martinez of South View took the 126-pound class while Malaak Harris of Cape Fear won at 120.
Scotland High School's Nick Kee, the 170-pound champion, was voted the tournament's Most Outstanding Wrestler.
The top four finishers in each weight class advanced to this week's state wrestling championships at the Greensboro Coliseum.
